you can have the best, but you yourself is the worst.
YOOOOOO!
there's like, 3 days to school reopening!
4 for me, teehee.
BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN ITS GOOD OKAY!
that means i gotta chiong hw like madness, cos i'll wake up late.
HAHA, and those going on monday, its okay.
cos i think it'll all be principal talk + lecture on swine flu, those kinda stuff.
who wants school to reopen, anyway!
ANYWAY,
i found something super interesting on wikipedia, was waaaaaay too bored.
then i wanted to see where on earth did i start getting the word 'camwhore' from.
and here's what i found:
A cam whore (sometimes cam-whore or cam-slut)[1] is an individual who performs sexual services on the Internet with webcam software in exchange for money or goods, usually by a fixed per minute fee or by encouraging viewers to purchase items on their wish lists or add to their online accounts.[2] While the label is usually considered derogatory and insulting,[3] it is also used by these people to describe themselves, occasionally in a self-deprecating manner.
The term "cam whore" is also used to refer to individuals who post pictures or videos of themselves on the Internet to gain attention. The term disparages those who post pictures of themselves at inappropriate times or places, and usually implies self-absorption. This second usage of the term, deriding vanity and histrionics, is overtaking the prior, more intuitive definition. It is usually synonymous with attention whore.
SEE!
goodness, who knew camwhore was seriously, whores who use cameras to, whatever.
but whatever la, i doubt i'll ever stop using that word.
but i found it pretty interesting. somehow! :D
well, thought i should try to blog about my taiwan + hong kong trip.
i'll try the first 3 days. :D
Day one, Saturday.
cabbed to airport at like, 7+am?
checked in, and boarding Cathay.
managed to watch bride wars (missed the beginning though).
food wasn't too bad, had mini toblerone!
HAPPINESS. :D
transit in hong kong to taiwan, where i watched ugly betty! :D
and supposed to have only refreshments but we got noodles,
which was ULTRA good, heehhee!
touched down in taiwan after minor turbulence,
and was greeted with heavy rain + lightning after awhile. :( (which continued for like 3 days!)
took a nice mercs to hotel, settled in, changed and went down and walked the streets,
where we had like this nice but UBER oily beef noodles (we had to mix the spicy soup with the normal one to get some taste though),
and beef pancakes and chao ji mang guo bing! (super mango ice kachang), which totally marked the start of my mango kachang obsession. i practically am willing to eat mango now. :D
went back hotel pretty late, bathed and packed cos EVERDAY we changed hotels! suck eh.
Day two, Sunday
It rained again, bummer!
took the volkswagen minivan (our transport for the rest of taiwan) to the high speed rail station,
where we briefly joined a bigger tour group (ours only had my family + one other girl!) and took the train to taipei.
the train was like a WHOA, hell nice!
and cos taipei was the last stop, so they had cleaners like in position at the station.
they practically marched into the train, started cleaning, and they were turning the seats 180degrees so they face the correct direction!
HELL COOL. :D
Reached CKS memorial (forgot the full name), where we walked up 89 steps to see this huge statue of the late president + they had 2 soldiers standing by the sides, just like those guards at Buckingham with the bearskin hats, you know. never moving, haha!
reached some market for lunch, (forgot name again!) and had this huge sausage, and fishball noodles. bought mochi too(which is so little, i just found out). and the woman whom i bought the sausage from is like, uber happening! i'll show the photo soon.
travelled like 19km(??) through practically 5-6 mountains with SUPER winding roads, and at like 100km/h, WHILE it still rained! :(
reached this small and ulu place, where we had a so-called farm stay, with plush and hugeeeee beds (one to each person!), and wooden flooring.
and damn cool, got some raising platform under the beds!
walked out abit in the rain to get some stuff from the nearby provision shop,
and saw a chained-up cow opposite.
went back, to find many cocks(that started making noise at like, 4am or something)and a goat that ma-eeeeed nonstop!
had like freshly plucked veg for dinner + so many other dishes!
the fish we had was awesome, but drunken prawns, not very drunken. :(
but dinner was fantastic, haha!
had a great sleep too, and camwhored abit while waiting for my turn in the shower. (teehee!)
Day three, Monday
woke up to rain, again!
had yam rice (the WHOLE thing was purple, damn gross. didn't eat though, i hate yam), plus like eggs and more for breakfast,
then drove through a few more mountains to reach taroko park, where the wind blowing was awesome! :D
had a break at some mountain cafe, where apparently coffee's made with the spring water found there,
(but no diff la, taste also lousy. so freaking ex somemore, like $6 sing? starbucks is waaaaay better. :D)
had an awesome personal steamboat lunch at some cute place with like all the food on a conveyor belt.
visited some lingzhi shop, where my parents were actually convinced to buy a whole bottle of a year's worth of capsules.
and some good it did to their pockets, $700+ gone, just like that! SING DOLLARS, mind you!
well, stopped somewhere (i've no idea where cos i slept in the van EVERYTIME we got back on to travel somewhere else. always slept! :D) for like, this awesome fried chicken, and took a few photos at the fake train there,
and also visited some lake, where we rested for abit, then went onto Chu Lu Farm, where i managed to feed the HUGE cows there like leaves i found on the floor. super cute. :D
travelled more to this AWESOME spa hotel where they had hot springs!
soaked in it + 2 other medicinal mini pools for abit with the other girl, while my family went to check out what's around the hotel + they saw a real pig being chained somewhere and snorting away!
had dinner at the hotel, which was so-so.
went back to soak more of the hot springs, then went back hotel to the nice, soft bed and camwhored even more while my sister was soaking in the bath (apparently the water from the tap also spring water, + your skin feels hell smooth in it!)
slept pretty late that night, cos taiwan tv is hell interesting! :D
well, there you go, first 3 days.
super lengthy right?
i know you all wondering how can i remember, cos i kept a small diary of the stuff we did.
helpful ttm, if you really wanna remember a holiday. :)
anyway, i guess i shall update like only 3 days by 3 days.
typing's enough to kill me, what more reading for others. :)
well, going out to study with brah + MAYBE transformers tomorrow,
so had better go sleep now! :)
and i took 30 mins to blog, goodness.
