so glad to be safe, so glad you're okay.
I AM BACK! :D
zomg, best shopping trip EVER! :)
i think this is gonna be a really long post, cos my parents aren't caring whether i'm using the computer.
all i can say is this: i'm SO FREAKING GRATEFUL i'm back in one piece and not anything else.
WARNING: LONG POST!
okay, i think i shall start in detail.
roughly remember. :)
start time: 12:27am
Day one, Tuesday, 23rd.
waited around super long for the bus, and finally came.
got on and was super amazed by the HUGE chairs.
they're even bigger than i though, and the legroom is darn great. :D
massage chair toooooo! :)
reached there super late, like 3?
around an hour late.
apparently the bus damn slow.
customs was okay, damn fast.
well, dropped at times square and went to some taxi coupon counter.
apparently you tell them where you're going, and they give you this ticket with the price on it.
give it to the driver and done!
it's basically to avoid those stupid guys who try to haggle.
:S
checked into the hotel,
and it was actually not as nice as i thought.
went into the room and i started jumping on the bed for no reason.
the service apartment was pretty cool though, cos the rooms are rather big.
and they had DISNEY CHANNEL! :D
i watched it every night. :D
well, we then decided to go sungai wang to shop instead of klcc, since klcc was huge and we only had less than half a day left.
didn't manage to cover the whole of sungai wang, but i bought like the most stuff there.
in fact, i bought the most things on this trip!
like, 16 items. not alot, but quite for me. :D
went back to the hotel after having bak ku teh at some really weird place.
and i kept watching disney channel, refusing to bathe. :D
so, stuff bought at sungai wang (i'm really bored and don't want to sleep, that's why i'm typing everything in detail) :
hairbands and belts, long shirt and purple/black heels.
zomg, the heels rock. really nice!
they're like, $23+ sing i think, after converting.
i LOVE the exchange rate right now, totally owns. :)
Day two, Wednesday, 24th.
Christmas eve!
woke up kinda early, like 8+ due to the stupid super loud alarm from my sister's phone.
went down for breakfast, which was quite nice!
went straight off to 1 Utama, which was some 20 min drive from our hotel.
uber far, actually.
oh by the way, this trip, we met practically the most friendly and nice drivers.
:D
lucky and super heng this time, cos we're still unfamiliar, comsidering our hotel super weird place.
and lemme say this first: 1 Utama is seriously HUGE.
walking around sungai wang already hurt my feet abit.
(thank goodness it was birkenstocks on the first day, not so lucky on the second.)
walking in 1 Utama can KILL.
seriously!
there's a new wing and old wing.
and no, the 'wing' not like centrepoint, old and new.
NO.
it's TWO HUGE BUILDINGS like, a eight lane wide road (two way traffic) apart from each 0ther.
they're connected by this connector, which has shops too.
and the tiles are like, same pattern, and apparently the new wing not so new either so you won't know where exactly you're at.
well, and even the old wing is like, huge.
probably 1 and 1/4 times the size of vivo.
okay, maybe even more,
but whatever!
we practically walked into every nook and cranny, cos we had a whole day there.
crazy, that place.
and all the shops we wanna go to is like, miles apart.
:S
i ended up buying a few things there though.
not too bad.
:)
and actually, as of now, i cannot remember where we ate lunch in 1 Utama,
but we had vietnamese food for dinner.
really good, the beef pho.
SUPER huge and good.
the soup is shiok! :D
continued shopping like mad later on.
oh, and auntie anne's there is cheap.
$3.20 ringgit per cinnamon sugar pretzel.
that's like, $1.35 sing per pretzel if the exchange rate's 2.37?
and malaysia's FOS has really alot of nice clothes.
shorts are rip-off though.
47 ringgit a pair.
mad.
oh yes, and that padini concept store.
HUGE.
i walk in there for like, hour plus, finding and trying clothes.
my sister had like 10 to try, and bought only one.
i got like, 4 items alone from there!
no wait, 3.
2 tops, 1 skirt.
but it's seriously great shopping at 1 Utama la, not very disappointing.
oh and yes, we left like 9.30.
and christmas eve, as you know.
but we got this huge shock and finally realised how bad malaysia's control over cars are.
there was this HUGE jam snaking all the way from don't know where to don't know where.
there was a coupon counter, but they wouldn't sell us the ticket cos they said no one will drive you there through that jam.
considered taking cab to a train station, take train, and cab back to hotel.
but that would be more expensive then running a meter in that jam.
so apparently, this guy said $40 for bringing us back.
obviously so expensive.
so we settle on $30.
and he was seriously good.
he drove through back lanes and stuff,
just to avoid more jams at the sungai wang area.
and he got us back in half an hour when people said in jams, it'll take 45 mins!
he was seriously good.
(that's why i said we're lucky that we got nice taxi drivers)
so, i bought:
3 tops, 1 skirt, and sneakers. (FINALLY! only $40 sing. cheapppp. :D)
Day three, Thursday, 25th.
MERRY (belated) CHRISTMAS!
woke up early again, and headed off to Wesley Methodist KL.
super weird place, but actually near chinatown.
cool how the taxi driver didn't know where but we still got there!
well, service was rather short.
main sanctuary was full, so had to sit elsewhere.
headed to KLCC later on, and boy.
upmarket it was, i got a few good finds.
:)
had lunch at some madam kwan restaurant.
not that good as reviews said, so don't go there if you don't wanna be disappointed!
walked around later, and funniest thing at LV boutique.
they apparently had to limit the number of people in it at one time,
so they had this doorman, and you had to queue to get in.
zomg, super atas ( high class ) kind of service can.
and we waited for like, 2 mins before going in.
not worth, since there was nothing inside anyway.
nothing worth to look at for too long. :D
well, high class it may be at klcc, but i still managed to buy tops!
and new socks and tights, which are pretty thick,
but my mum found thicker ones later on.
talk about that later.
so, 2 mango long sleeves and whatever was all i got.
pretty happy though!
oh, and the mexican dinner at Chili's was fab!
:D
super good.
portions are huge.
bigger than hog's breath, but i like hog's breath portobello mushrooms.
way better.
and bigger! :D
Day four, Friday, 26th.
going back day!
decided to check out at 12, go times square, and leave for bus terminal around 245.
messed up though.
we went over to the small mall opposite our hotel.
checked out the secret recipe cakes again, which are cheappppp.
walked around,
went back to pack up and left around 12+.
cabbed to times square,
parked my dad with our luggages at borders' starbucks,
and went off to shop abit.
oh, and java chip's nice, seriously!
go order next time, no regrets.
:D
well,
my mum managed to find this uber thick tights, (which are like pants already)
my sister got $12 sing heels,
and i got a vest!
at 10.50 sing!
with white shirt too!
:D
whoa, super happy,
and my sister kept saying the tie one better, in case grow fat.
:S
left times square at like, 250?
spent 10 mins trying to get a cab cos there was a HUGE jam, somehow.
and all the taxis quoted like, $15-$20 ringgit to the bus terminal, which was probably only a 5 min drive if no jam.
but like, zomg.
but we tried our luck on this MPV taxi,
and though he didn;'t know where, we kinda directed him around,
and got there.
though it was 16+ ringgit,
but for the space, time constraint and luggages,
it was okay la.
oh yes, bought 4 slices of cake at almost 7 ringgit each?
and according to allinda, one cake here is 70 sing,
over there, 70 ringgit!
ZOMGGGG.
bus wasn't as good as our usual though.
double deckers kinda suck.
other double deckers look good can!
leg room so tiny, zomg.
no games too.
ended up listening to my ipod for like, half the journey?
movies were okay though, shrek, ice age, (for all the cartoon channels. :S)
food was spicy la!
but i managed to eat everything with only i sip of water.
amazing! :D
but later on i had gastric.
who serves dinner at 4pm?!
well,
along the way saw 3 scary accidents.
first one was flipped over, the car i mean.
next two was crashed and mangled pretty bad.
thank goodness we're all safe.
really safe.
customs was funny though.
cos my bag has the 3-stick mentos pack.
and apparently,
the person seeing the x-ray thought it was gum.
open my bag and check.
:S
well, we reached HOME around 830!
and that's the time the bus is supposed to reach the terminal!
maybe cos we alighted at jurong. :)
oh well, KL was great.
and amazingly, i didn't really put on weight after all those overeating.
eating this much in 4 days.
think we easily spent around 300ringgit on our meals.
or even more.
mad!
and i spent like almost $200+ sing on my items.
zomg!
it's really shiok.
okay, SORRY for the killer post.
took me like.. i don't know how long.
it's like, 1:49am now.
but minus all the time to do other stuff,
i would just say i ended this post at 1:30am.
how long was that?
crap, one hour+.
oops!
