ALOHA! I'm Michelle, 15 going on SWEET 16 5th February. I'm not a nerd though i'm in a triple science class, cross my heart. The Fairfield Choir is the best opportunity i ever got, and it'll rock your socks off. Starbucks is totally awesome and kicks ass! hello there(:
sorry to those who were wondering why did i go MIA :D
i went JB for a quick day-jaunt(:
oh my crap!
just realised i'm supposed to finish talking about the camp D:
oh my,
i'm sorry guys,
this will be an extremely looooooong post! :D
but for the camp,
i'll just try to talk briefly about it(:

youthphoria camp - encounter '07

day two:
woke up pretty early at 730,
had breakfast and went onto teambuilding games.
had spiderweb,
dog&bone,
some cheering thingy,
crossing the nitrous pond and pole and tyre..
etc(:
it was super fun and i bonded with my teammates (who were easily 4 years older than me D:)

after that,
we had lunch and went out to dragonboat and build a raft(:
hurt my thumb during dragonboating(which happened the last time i dragonboat-ed during choir camp)
it still hurts D:
my bone still has like,
pain?
argh D:
same thumb somemore!
oh well,
rafting i hurt both my middle fingers.
that super duper heavy PVC pipe we were using kinda dropped on my finger when i was helping to lift it up.
DDD:
grrrr,
super unlucky.

then a few hours later one of my finger had this huge blue-black underneath my nail.
still can see a small part of it,
but for the record,
it's not painful anymore(:
then had our bath,
theme talk and worship,
then we had supper and went to sleep.

day three:
woke up at 730 again D:
had rope courses which was delayed cos of the rain,
so we did flying fox after waiting for the rain to stop for an hour+
had impromptu worship which was super meaningful(:

then,
my group did flying fox.
it was slightly higher than the p5 camp one,
and was pretty scary cos there were planes flying past every few mins and the wind was so strong!
i was super scared i would get blown off while he was attaching me to the ropes -.-
but anyway,
everyone had different 'reactions' to it while coming down.
it was super hilarious! (:

did abseiling next,
which was pretty ok.
fun though(:
then had rock climbing which i missed cos had to go for worship,
but good thing,
cos i was dead tired D:
met with celine,
went for our bath and went to the worship hall.
worship was super fun.
we were jumping till no end,
people asked for encore(:
haha!

i loveeeeee the song evermore by hillsong.
i like the electric instrumental part(:
then we had photog time,
taking pictures(:
then had a group gathering, supper then slacked awhile and slept real late.
oh yes,
forgot to mention where we were staying had planes flying so close to ground level every few minutes that we had a policy - no one to speak while the plane's flying past.
we didn't want anyone losing their voice(:

day four:
730 woke up again D:
had an early theme talk,
then lunch.
had one hour prayer session,
then went off to prepare for the finale night item(:
around 6 we had bath,
then dinner.
oh boy,
parents brought turkey in!
super duper huge turkey!

dinner was superb.
then later,
we all proceeded out to have our campfire cum finale night(:
it was such a great night!

fun too(:

then after the parents left and campfire gone,
we had 30 mins of 'overnight worship'
super fun!
we were all jumping again to evermore(:
acoustic:D
the guy played till the string broke.
haha(:
then another song was about being crazy and not caring what other people think,
and we were all dancing like mad people(:
it was so so fun! :D

had group meeting after that,
then supper.
celine and i stayed till 4+ to write cards,
then around 430 i slept(:
most of the youth stayed up to watch the sunrise and slept at 630,
woke up at seven :D
haha!
i wish celine wasn't that tired.
then we could have gone to see the sunrise.
we were right beside the sea too,
so it should have been super wonderful(:

day five:
woke up around 730,
close to eight.
had breakfast,
then holy communion service.
the bread was super tasty(:
then,
had area cleaning,
which was fun sweeping the sand out and downstairs where people were standing around :D
haha!
evil(:
then later on,
we had this huge youth camp photo,
then we all went back to church(:

it was super duper fun and i was glad i missed the premiere of national treasure(:
heh.
alright,
that was pretty brief(:
hahah!
now onto my JB trip ytd(:

woke up around nine?
yupp,
then left the house around ten,
but my silly dad forgot his ez-link so by the time we got on the train,
it was close to 10.30.
train-ed to kranji,
then took 170 to woodlands checkpoint.
the immigration guy was so funny.
he asked me to smile.
then he was like,
"i asked you to smile cos you were smiling in your passport photo."
LOL.
i was laughing so hard :D

passed through the checkpoint smoothly,
then took 160 to JB checkpoint.
queued for a super long time,
then managed to pass.
sigh.

walked to opposite city square after that,
took a bus all the wasy to Jusco at tebrau.
ate at sizzling stonegrill (i think:D)
which was super worth it.
i shared with my sister the combi-meat one,
where they had chicken, lamb and beef on a hotstone,
with fried rice and coleslaw.
my dad had this seafood 'platter',
with four prawns, four huge scallops and a super big salmon fillet(:
mum had some chicken beehoon,
which the soup was so addictive(:
spent around 40sing on our meal there,
which was super cheap! (:

then later,
walked around buying earrings,
then went jusco to buy stuff.
managed to get a jacket(:
oh,
and i got a pair of earrings from the shopping mall too(:
bought six dunkin doughnuts,
and three tubes of mentos in different flavours! (:

later on,
we went out to take the same bus back,
but waited a stupid 30 mins till a bus finally came D:
and we were in a semi-deserted place?
haha:D
many cars though.

and oh,
the drivers are crazy.
some guy pressed the bell and at the middle of a split road,
the driver let the guy alight.
at the middle of a road being split!
oh my D:
super crazy.
haha!

anyway,
we took a shorter time to go back to city square,
and there i almost got those vests i wanted!
but we didn't have time anyway D:
got a pack of rubber bands,
and got a short dress.
those you can wear jeans with? :D
not as good as a pinafore top,
but that will do(:
it's quite pretty,
though i didn't get to try cos it was free size?
-.-
but it's a lovely turquoise,
and if i can fit into it,
i'll wear it for chinese new year(:
heh.

ate at vivo,
this pizza place.
NOT vivo city -.-
the food items were so small,
and it was only so-so.
missed out on the auntie anne's,
and we saw the restaurant we had eaten in for lunch! :D

bought a pair of shoes too,
which are pretty nice(:
comfy too.
nearly bought this super nice top but it was so expensive!
like,
40+ sing?
and i saw a super gorgeous roxy wallet.
around 40sing too D:
bet it hasn't arrived in roxy singapore yet(:

then around 9.45,
we left the place.
clearing JB customs was pretty fast,
but some stupid guy who wanted to be the first few in the queue banged everyone and bumped into our doughnuts!

then,
took 170 to woodlands checkpoint,
cleared it fast too,
then took the blue 170 to kranji mrt,
and train-ed home.
reached at 11pm on the dot,
and we took a slow walk home(:

it was super fun!
a day of shopping can already kill though(:
was feeling so tired.
heh(:

i know this was really such a long post so i shall stop here(:

this post is waaaaay too long!

alright,
i can't post later cos i'll be going for a bbq at celine's condo.
can't wait.
